Live CD "Live at porsche" recorded at Yamaguchi's live house "Porsche" in December 22,1998
In Natural, the last song (the first song on the CD), Namiki stepped through the shield of the microphone attached to the saxophone for recording, but the music still seems to be a sunship that keeps running.
Also, drummer Shoichi Takayama at this time. Now that I'm leaving Sun Ship, it's a precious piece that I can't listen to live anymore.

最後の曲（CDでは1曲目）Naturalでは収録のためサックスにつけられたマイクのシールドを並木は勢い余って踏み抜いてしまい、それでも音楽は疾走し続けるサンシップの様子が残されている。
またこの時のドラマー高山昌一。現在はSunShipを退団しているため、もうライブでは聴くことのできない貴重な一枚。

This work picked up three songs from those recorded at the jazz live house "Porsche" in Yamaguchi City.

Sunship is a no-leader band formed in 1997. It seems that he decides the MC of the day by turns, but he is not good at speaking, so he usually says only the minimum of the song title and member introduction on the stage.

The first song is a classic song at Sunship's recent live concerts, and you can fully enjoy the ad lib that gradually rises and changes to an endless uplifting feeling. Most of the time, this song is a two-stage live, and if he is there, it will be the last of the first or second stage. This song is played at the very end on the day of recording.

The second song, "Destiny," is often performed as a staple of recent sunships, along with the first song, "Natural." Murakami, Kawasaki, and Takayama work together as one to back up to protect and push up, and the delicately changing ad lib of the tree-lined trees and the tone that has both melancholy and luster enter. It is also the goodness of the four Sunships that various subtle emotional elements can be added to the image of the song.

The third song is Murakami's original song from before the start of Sunship's activities. It was created in the image of guitarist Munetaka, who was working with the band "MIKARAM" in which all the members of Sunship participated. Unfortunately, "Mune-san" passed away just 15 days before this recording.

Sunship has a long playing time for one song, and often consists of three songs on a one-hour stage. Although the song order has been changed, you can experience almost one stage. I'm really glad that we could deliver it in this way to many people who have been waiting for the CD for a long time, and to those who can't usually come to the live but want to experience the sunship live. Last but not least, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed this time.

この作品は山口市のジャズライブハウス「ポルシェ」で収録されたものの中から、 3曲をピックアップした。

サンシップは97年に結成されたノーリーダーバンド。交代でその日のMCを決めているようだが口下手なので、ステージでは曲名とメンバー紹介の最低限のことしか言わないのが常である。

1曲目は、サンシップの最近のライブでは定番曲で、徐々に高まり終わりのない高揚感に変化するアドリブを存分に楽しめる。たいていこの曲は、2ステージライブであれば1ステージ目か2ステージ目のラストを飾ることが多い。収録当日もこの曲は一番最後に演奏されている。

2曲目「ディスティニー」は、1曲目「ナチュラル」と並び最近のサンシップの定番としてよく演奏されている。村上、川崎、高山の3人が一丸となって、守るように、押し上げるようにバッキングし、そこに並木の繊細に変化するアドリブと、哀愁と艶を併せ持った音色が沁み入る。曲の持つイメージにいろんな微妙な感情の要素を表現に加味できるのはサンシップ4人の良さでもある。

3曲目は、サンシップの活動開始以前からの村上のオリジナル曲。サンシップのメンバーが全員参加していたバンド「MIKARAM」で、活動を共にしていたギタリストの宗隆 (そう・たかし)さんをイメージして作られたものだ。しかし残念ながら「宗さん」はこの収録のわずか15日前に他界されている。

サンシップは一曲の演奏時間が長く、1時間のステージでは3曲構成になることが多い。曲順は変えてあるがほぼ1ステージ分を体験出来る。長らくCD化を待ち望んで下さった多くの方々、普段ライブには来れないけれどサンシップライブを体験したい方々にも、こういった形でお届けできて本当に良かったと思っている。最後になったが、今回ご尽力いただいた方々に心から感謝の意を述べたいと思う。

Sunship was formed in 1997. There have been some changes from the initial members, and the current members are Takashi Namiki (ss, ts), Shunji Murakami (p), Satoshi Kawasaki (b), and Kazushige Kitamura (ds).

The band is named after John Coltrane's album, Sun Ship.
